MechLabs

Products we build with skin in the game

Some ideas deserve more than a software vendor

MechLabs is Mechanical Rock's product studio. We partner with founders and organisations that have deep domain expertise but need experienced product, engineering and delivery capability to turn an idea into a commercial product.

Rather than billing hours against someone else's roadmap, we co-invest our technical expertise and product leadership, and have skin in the game through equity.

Why MechLabs exists

After years of helping clients launch successful products, we realised some of the strongest opportunities came from founders who understood their industry inside out but lacked the product and engineering capability to bring their ideas to life.

MechLabs was created to solve that problem. Our partners bring market and domain knowledge and customer understanding, we bring more than a decade of consulting experience across product strategy, engineering, cloud, AI and delivery capability.

By sharing in the upside through equity, everyone is working towards the same outcome: building a successful business, not just following the traditional consulting method of shipping software and handing it over.

How Mech Labs works

Every MechLabs product moves through the same disciplined path, deliberately staged to be cheap to stop early but built to last if it works.
